Hotel Sierra FAQs

Is there a charge or penalty if I don't cancel my reservation?

If you do not cancel your reservation within the cancellation window or fail to arrive at the hotel, your credit card will be charged one night's room and tax.

Can I cancel or modify a reservation on-line?

Yes, if the reservation was booked through hotel-sierra.com, it may be cancelled or modified there. Select the “Reservations” link from the homepage. On the Reservations page, click the Modify or Cancel Reservation link, enter your email address, confirmation number or password. Once your reservation has been retrieved, select the reservation and then you may cancel or modify the reservation. Reservations booked by calling the hotel directly or through a third-party website must be cancelled by contacting those sources directly.

What forms of payment does Hotel Sierra accept?

All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card. This includes American Express, Carte Blanche, Diners Club, Discover, Japan Credit Bureau, MasterCard, and Visa.

What is your payment policy?

Hotel Sierra has two payment polices depending on which rate you choose to book. All reservations except for prepaid bookings will adhere to the Global Guarantee Policy.

Global Guarantee Policy
 - All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid major credit card at the time of booking. 
- We reserve the right to cancel any reservation that is not booked with a valid major credit card. 
- Guest must present a valid major credit card in his or her name upon arrival at the hotel at which time a credit card authorization will be processed to cover all charges. A sufficient amount of credit must be available to cover all room charges, taxes and incidental charges. Presenting a debit card upon arrival will result in a hold (temporary charge) on your account for the amount authorized. 
- Cash payment will be accepted upon check-out, at which time the credit/debit card authorization will be released. Once an authorization has been released the credit/debit card issuing bank will determine when your funds can be made available.  
 
Prepaid Guarantee Policy
- Deposit of 100 percent of stay plus tax due at time of booking.
- The credit/debit card provided for this reservation will be charged for the full amount of the stay plus tax and this charge is non-refundable. Please ensure that you have sufficient credit/funds available to cover the charges for your stay. We will be unable to honor any reservation that is made with an invalid credit/debit card or a credit/debit card with insufficient credit/funds available.
- Guest must present a valid major credit card in his or her name upon arrival at the hotel as a security deposit and to cover incidental charges. A credit card authorization will be processed and a sufficient amount of credit must be available to cover the amount authorized. Presenting a debit card upon arrival will result in a hold (temporary charge) on your account for the amount authorized. Please contact the hotel to determine the amount of the authorization required.
- Cash will not be accepted as a deposit, but can be used to pay for any charges upon check-out at which time the credit/debit card authorization will be released. Once an authorization has been released the credit/debit card issuing bank will determine when your funds can be made available.

Does your front desk stay open 24 hours a day?

Yes it does. We know that your schedule on the road is probably a hectic one so we do all that we can to create an easy road for you. That's why we provide 24-hour guest service.

Does Hotel Sierra allow pets?

No pets are allowed. The only exception is for guests traveling with a service dog. In such a case, valid certification must be presented at check-in.


Can www.hotel-sierra.com be made faster?

www.hotel-sierra.com may be slow for you for a number of reasons.  On our side your requests are processed very quickly even with hundreds of thousands of users. Still there may be slight delays during peak use periods. www.hotel-sierra.com’s speed as you experience it will depend on: 1) The speed of your modem (baud rate) or network connection. 2) The speed of your computer’s processor. 3) Network efficiency between your computer and our server. 4) How much memory you or your system has allocated to your browser. Closing browser windows may increase performance.

Why does your web site load so slowly?

I hit a button and nothing happened for a long time. What’s going on?
If you hit a button or click on a link and nothing happened for an unusually long time, your browser is “hanging”. This means it is waiting for information from a server or it is busy processing.

At certain times of the day, the network between your computer and ours gets busy so you have to wait a little longer for a response. We have more than enough computing power to process your requests. If your browser hangs, it is probably due to a network bottleneck somewhere along the way. This should never last more than a minute of two. If it does, the best thing to do is resubmit your request by pressing the same button (or link) again. If your browser hangs frequently, it may help to clear your cache. To clear your cache in Internet Explorer, choose view and then Options and click the Advanced tab. Under Temporary Internet Files, click the Settings button and then Empty Folder.
